Parent Partnership

A Balanced Approach

CrossPointe, like all University-Model® schools, allows parents to partner in the education of their students. We believe God has called parents to raise, disciple, and educate their children. But you weren’t called to do it alone. Alongside your church and community, CrossPointe offers families a school setting designed to encourage the faith you are nurturing within your children.

Impress [these commandments] on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. – Deut. 6:7

Our academic schedule is a balance of central classroom instruction and satellite classroom instruction where parents become an extension of the learning process.

Coming Along Side

Central classroom instruction gives students the opportunity to learn from passionate teachers who love God and the subjects they teach. Our teachers support the entire learning process by creating curriculum and learning activities for the central classroom and the satellite classroom. We give you the tools to come beside your student to explore, discuss, and disciple.

CrossPointe parents commit to:

  • Providing regular structure, time, and space for learning at home
  • Reviewing and monitoring students completion of satellite classroom assignments
  • Helping students as needed and engaging in discussions about the subject matter
  • Communicating and collaborating with teachers as needed

In most cases, though not all, the parent’s direct academic role decreases as the grade levels increase.  As students naturally grow in greater independence, parents and teachers support and monitor the skills needed to become successful independent learners.
