Educational Philosophy
So what is a University-Model® School? And can it meet the needs of family time, academic excellence, and community for my student?
The University Model is a relatively new education framework for elementary and secondary education that seeks to partner with parents in their God-given responsibility to teach their children. We believe that parents are the single most influential factor in a child’s emotional, social and spiritual development.
The University-Model® School strives to blend the best aspects of traditional public and private schools, as well as home schools, into one model. Students attend classes two or three days each week and learn under the instruction of professional educators teaching in their areas of expertise. All classes are taught from a biblical worldview.
On alternate days, students learn at home in a “satellite classroom” where parents continue their instruction and monitor student progress. Teachers provide parents with detailed instructions for days spent at home.

Although parent involvement is clearly defined and required by the University-Model® School, this model is not home schooling or a home-schooling cooperative. It’s also not a traditional classroom education with less classroom time. The success of a University-Model® School lies in its ability to effectively join together parents and professional educators. This partnership develops students who are morally, academically, and spiritually prepared to perform at their maximum potential while maintaining strong family bonds and encouraging the development of a strong faith.
