Students & Parents
Reminders
-
A parent must alert the school office is a student will be absent for the day. Parents should call by 8:00 am and provide a brief explanation of reason for absence and a doctors note when applicable upon student’s return to school.
Absences are significant in a University-Model school because of our modified schedule means fewer days on campus. Elementary students are allowed up to 4 absences per semester per class. Students in 7th-12th grades are allowed 6 absences per class. Three tardies equals one absence.
-
Non-driver Students: Parents or designated adults are allowed to check out students without alerting the office, although a quick text to our school phone will help us to expedite the pick-up at dismissal (501-230-6490). If a person not currently on the list needs to pick up the student, a parent must call the office.
Student Drivers: If a student is an approved driver, parents must call the school at least 2 hours before a student intends to leave.
-
If your student drives to school, you must come to the office and fill out a student driver form for us to have on file. This form must be completed and signed by a parent.
-
Parent volunteers and those who would like to be on campus regularly need a background check. We would love to have you on campus and would love to count you as a Parent Navigator!
