Tammy Dawson is the wife of Dan Dawson, mother of four children, and grandmother of five. She has a B.A. in Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Harding University. Her training in education comes from a variety of teaching experiences: she taught for six years at Harding Academy, was an adjunct instructor at Harding University in Education for 3 years, had successfully homeschooled her eldest two children from 2nd grade through 12th grade, is an active member of West Side Church of Christ where she has taught Bible classes ranging from preschool to adult ladies for over 30 years, and just recently led the first teacher’s seminar in Yendi, Ghana, West Africa. Her passion is serving God through education, helping others unlock the gifts and talents God has given them to serve and glorify their Creator.

“It has always been my dream to work alongside parents, encouraging them to fulfill their God given responsibilities. I believe that CrossPointe has not only preserved and strengthened the God-ordained family relationships of our students and their families, but has also provided an academically challenging education in an environment that protects the heart, soul, and mind. As the administrator, I believe there are three things that drive the success of CrossPointe:

  • Leaders that consistently make decisions based on what is best for the students;
  • The prevailing mindset that parents are expected to be the driving force behind their child’s education; and
  • A safe, positive environment based on Jesus Christ, who gives us a decidedly high moral standard and then empowers us to keep it.”
